Exercise Physiology

Sub Acute
Assisting the Exercise Physiology team in a Sub Acute setting may include roles such as:
*Assisting the Exercise Physiologists in conducting their health and fitness assessments,
*Taking observations ie. blood pressure and blood glucose levels,
*Taking patient’s through physical activity sessions in the gym.
*Under the supervision of the Exercise Physiologist, AHAs can update the exercise programs where necessary to continue to progress the patient’s rehabilitation.
Working in this setting involves working with many different chronic conditions and co-morbidities.
