AHA CPD Community of Practice

Free access through The Practice Studio for eligible AHANA members until 30 June 2026.

AHANA has negotiated with The Practice Studio to provide free access to the AHA CPD Community of Practice until 30 June 2026 for current Practising and Student Members, and for new Practising and Student Members who join before 30 June 2026.

What the Community includes

The AHA CPD Community of Practice includes a rich and growing library of professional learning designed specifically for Allied Health Assistants.

  • monthly webinars
  • weekly case studies
  • a substantial back catalogue of recordings and learning resources

The Community covers important areas of professional development, including:

  • patient care
  • communication
  • healthcare technology
  • regulatory compliance

Real-world case studies and practice scenarios provide practical lessons that can be applied directly to AHA work across different settings.

Learn, connect and share

All learning is delivered through an easy-to-use online learning platform, with opportunities to connect and engage with fellow AHAs through chats, discussions and shared posts.

Have a question about your work as an AHA and not sure who to ask? Want to share something useful you’ve learned with others in the workforce?

The Community gives AHAs a place to connect, ask questions, share insights and build professional confidence together.

You can view upcoming webinars and activities on our events page. You can also click on the flyer below for more information.

Supporting members to meet their CPD obligations

All AHANA Practising Members are required to maintain 20 hours of professional development each year, subject to applicable sub-limits and conditions.

This initiative helps members meet that requirement while also strengthening their:

  • knowledge
  • skills
  • professional confidence
  • networks within the AHA workforce

Certificates of attendance or completion are issued to members who attend webinars live, or who later watch the recordings through the platform.

How to sign up

To join the Community, eligible members will need their AHANA membership number. This can be found in your membership notification or by logging into the AHANA website.

Members who are new to The Practice Studio will first need to create a profile. Registration is free.

Once your profile is set up, you can use the access link below to join the Community.
