The Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) is the peak body representing the interests of Australian Physiotherapists and their patients.
APA has a variety of resources related to delegation and supervision of Allied Health Assistants, behind its member firewall.

- The Physiotherapy Council of New South Wales is responsible for the management of complaints about conduct, professional performance, health and fitness to practice of any Physiotherapist practising, or student study in an approved program leading to registration as a Physiotherapist, in NSW. The Council has released a Position Statement for NSW Physiotherapists, indicating the Council's view on the use and management of Physiotherapy Assistants (i.e. Allied Health Assistants who assist in the implementation of a Physiotherapy treatment program).
- The Supervision and Delegation Framework for Allied Health Assistants (Victorian Department of Health, 2012) includes specific guidance for the Physiotherapy field.
- SA Health's Allied Health Practice Profile: Physiotherapy includes guidance as to the role and utilisation of AHAs in the provision of Physiotherapy services to clients of SA Health.
