Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Resources

Undertaking Continuing Professional Development (or CPD) and maintaining AHA skills through practise is important to ensure that AHAs practise in a consistent way and that the services provided by AHAs continue to evolve with best practise and evidence.

AHANA Practising Members (members with Practising Membership (Provisional), Practising Membership (General) or a Practising Membership (Certified) membership) must complete the following mandatory minimum number of hours of CPD each year, as outlined in AHANA's Continuing Competence Requirements By-Law (see AHANA's Policy Library):

AHANA CPD framework

To assist with meeting their CPD obligations, AHANA has arranged for Practising Members to get FREE access to The Allied Health Academy's AHA CPD Learning Community to 30 June 2026, provided they join before 30 June 2025. The AHA CPD Community of Practice is an exciting online community designed for and by AHAs, with monthly webinars to enhance practice and careers, weekly AHA-relevant case studies, and more. You can read more about the Learning Community at the flyer at the bottom of this page.

Student Members alsot get FREE access to the AHA CPD Community of Practice but are not required to complete or track CPD hours.

If you'd like to access these helpful resources but are not yet an AHANA member, join AHANA today.  AHANA Members can access a range of benefits to enhance their knowledge, networking and visibility, while also strengthening the AHA workforce as a whole.

Those not eligible for free access to the AHA CPD Community of Practice, can purchase it directly from The Allied Health Academy for $99.00 AUD per year.
