Boosting the Local Care Workforce Program: Allied Health Assistant (2022) - a Department of Social Services initiative, providing tools and resources to support the implementation of AHAs within the care and support sector.

Therapy Assistant Rural Workforce Development Research Report (2021) - final report outlining research and evaluation of the AHA model for National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants by Aspect (Autism Spectrum Australia) and The University of Sydney Centre for Disability Research and Policy.

Allied Health Assistant Classification Review Final Report (2021) – report on a review of the AHA classification initiated from the negotiation process of the ACT Public Sector Support Services Enterprise Agreement 2018-2021.

Australian Capital Territory Public Sector Support Services Enterprise Agreement 2023-2026 - enterprise agreement for relevant AHAs working for ACT Health.

Canberra Health Services AHA Delegation and Supervision Framework (Oct, 2024) - framework governing delegation and supervision arrangements in Cnberra Health Services.

Code of Conduct for Non-Registered Health Practitioners (2022) - implemented in NSW under Public Health Regulation 2022 to strengthen regulation of unregistered health care workers, this Code aligns with the National Code of Conduct for Health Care Workers endorsed by the Council of Australian Governments' (COAG) Health Council in 2015.

NSW Health AHA Horizon Scanning and Scenario Report (2022) - report outlining the themes raised in literature and by AHA stakeholders to inform Workforce Planning for NSW Health.

NSW Health Allied Health Assistant Framework (2020) – governance framework for the effective employment and utilisation of AHAs in the NSW public health sector.

NSW Health Service Allied Health Assistants (State) Award 2021 – enterprise agreement for relevant AHAs who work in the NSW public health sector. 

Northern Territory Primary Health Care Workforce Needs Assessment Year 1: Remote Primary Health Care and General Practitioners (August 2018) forms the basis for NT Primary Health Network's ongoing consultation with the sector and enhancement of its understanding of the health workforce, workforce challenges and the range of existing and potential solutions available, including the use of Allied Health Assistants (particularly within remote settings).

Allied Health Assistant Framework (2022) – framework published by Queensland Health’s Allied Health Professions’ Office of Queensland to facilitate the implementation and expansion of the AHA workforce within Queensland's Hospital and Health Services.

The Allied Health Assistants Good Practice Guide (2022) - outlines key steps for developing a more sustainable workforce with AHAs, developed by the Community Services Industry Alliance on behalf of WorkAbility Qld.

The National Code of Conduct for Health Care Workers (Queensland) (2015) - Code of Conduct for all health care workers (including AHAs) working in Queensland, who are not registered or required to be registered with Ahpra. This Code aligns with the National Code of Conduct for Health Care Workers endorsed by the Council of Australian Governments' (COAG) Health Council in 2015.

Clinical Governance Framework for Allied Health Professionals (2018) – framework issued by SA Health (Allied and Scientific Health Office) to govern minimum clinical governance expectations and supports required within portfolio of health services and agencies that make up SA Health.

Code of Conduct for Certain Health Care Workers (2019) - Code of Conduct applying to health care workers (including AHAs) working in South Australia, who are not registered or required to be registered with Ahpra. This Code aligns to the National Code of Conduct for Health Care Workers endorsed by the Council of Australian Governments' (COAG) Health Council in 2015 to strengthen regulation of unregistered health care workers.

South Australian Public Sector Enterprise Agreement: Salaried 2021 – enterprise agreement covering salaried AHAs within the SA public sector.

Various resources to support the introduction, through the South Australian Modern Public Sector Enterprise Agreement: Salaried 2017, of an AHA classification stream to SA Health.

"Grow our Own" Allied Health Career Videos (2023) - features South Australian allied health employees sharing their experiences with examples of roles undertaken in each profession, along with reflections on personal benefits they've experienced from working rurally and their own personal pathway into their career.

Delegation and Supervision Framework: Providing allied health services to NDIS participants in rural areas (2018) - published by Anglicare Tasmania Inc to formalise a process of communication and collaboration between the support worker and the Allied Health Professional to deliver allied health therapy services to National Disability Insurance Scheme participants in Tasmania.

Health Workforce 2040: Allied Health (2021) – Tasmania Department of Health workforce strategy document focussing on the allied health workforce in Tasmania.

Code of Conduct for General Health Services (2017) - this Code of Conduct applies to AHAs and other health workers who are not required to be registered with Ahpra, and was implemented by the Victorian Government under Health Complaints Act 2016. This Code aligns with the National Code of Conduct for Health Care Workers endorsed by the Council of Australian Governments' (COAG) Health Council in 2015 to strength regulation of unregistered health care workers.

Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2021-2025 – enterprise agreement applying to relevant Victorian public sector AHAs.

Supervision and Delegation Framework for Allied Health Assistants (2012) – published by the Victorian Government to provide information and guidance to enhance the utilisation and development of the role across health and community services throughout Victoria.

Supervision and Delegation Framework for Allied Health Assistants and the Support Workforce in Disability (2018) – published by the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services to support allied health professionals (AHPs) in disability services to work with AHAs and disability support workers.

Victorian Allied Health Assistant Workforce Project (2022) - an ongoing Victorian Department of Health-funded initiative, with recommendations and resources (published in draft) to support improving utilisation of AHAs across Victorian health, aged care and disability sectors.

Victorian Assistant Workforce Model (2015) - provides a process for allied health workforce redesign as well as other resources, including an online training module, that health services can use in the process of developing their AHA workforce.

Victorian Stand-Alone Community Health Services (Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Officers) Multiple Enterprise Agreement 2018-2022 – Enterprise agreement covering relevant AHAs employed by the community health entities names in Schedule A of the Agreement.

Social Assistance and Allied Health Workforce Strategy (2018) – published by the Office of the State Training Board, a strategy aimed at meeting the growing skill demands of Western Australia's highest employing industry. 

Supporting and Developing the Allied Health Assistant Workforce (2015) – report on a project designed to understand, measure and evaluate the opportunities and barriers to expanding the AHA workforce within WA Health, prepared by the Office of the Chief Health Professions Office.
